You work in quality assurance at THE CABIN FACTORY, a company that manufactures spooky cabins for amusement parks and such.
Now, the cabins are supposed to feel scary, but nothing should actually be moving or I don’t know, like, chasing you and trying to trap you inside the cabin.
That would be too scary, and it would also go against the core principles of The Cabin Factory’s vision for its customers—which is why it’s so crucial for quality assurance to inspect every cabin before any of them are sold.
The Cabin Factory is such an interesting concept and equally delightful in its execution. Cabins roll through on a conveyor belt, you walk through the door, inspect the rooms, and safely leave the cabins. Then you press the “CLEAR” button.
And sometimes other things happen inside of the cabins.
The Cabin Factory is available on Steam for three bucks.
Digseum is satisfying, addictive, and I really dig it. It’s a simple mouse-clicker game all about excavations and creating the most wonderful museum for visitors from all around the world.
Clicking through different digs will reveal exciting relics from history while also unlocking ancient secrets to share with your growing museum audience.
Different upgrades—and discoveries—modify and change the gameplay loop in interesting ways, though I did have mixed feelings on trading unlocks for progress.
Regardless, I know I will be coming back to Digseum for months yet to come, especially with how well it mixes with podcasts, audio books, and other relaxing tasks.
Digseum is available on Steam for three bucks.
DUCK DETECTIVE: THE SECRET SALAMI is a cute duck-tective game that I really enjoyed watching my wife play.
I recall Bex saying, “This is the exact kind of detective game I’ve been needing,” numerous times, while playing Duck Detective, which made me happy. When I got this game it was to crack the case of ‘The Perfect Relaxing Detective Game for My Wife to Play for Her First Day Off in Several Weeks’ and I had successfully solved it.
Bex told me that “the characters are creatively crafted and have talented voice actors.”
She also said the game “has a fun noir vibe that blends in a cool way with the silly world building. The game is built around a loop of examining characters and crime scenes When you uncover clues, you get keywords that allow you to quack the case.”
My wife said that Duck Detective gets more difficult than you would think “towards the end but not too challenging.”
Duck Detective: The Secret Salami is available on Steam for ten bucks.
Special thank you to guest contributor and frequent editor, ‘Becca Stump.’
DOOM: The Gallery Experience is :: raises glass :: simply delightful.
This gallery experience is a “re-imagined” version of the first mission from the very first DOOM game.
Coming from a tiny, two-person team, DOOM: The Gallery Experience was created as a silly art piece “designed to parody the wonderfully pretentious world of gallery openings.”
When you’re done sipping on complimentary, digital wine, consider donating a few bucks to the developer since DOOM: The Gallery Experience is available for free on itch.
